Former Kogi West Senator and lawyer, Senator Dino Melaye, is set to deliver the keynote address at the three-in-one celebration of a prospective legal practitioner and public policy professional, Uthman Tayo Rufai, in Abuja on Thursday, July 9.
The event, with Distinguished Senator Otunba Gbenga Daniel, former Governor of Ogun State, serving as Father of the Day, will commemorate Rufai’s 40th birthday, his Call to the Nigerian Bar, and the official unveiling of his law firm.
Senator Melaye’s keynote address is themed, “Forty, Called and Commissioned: A Testament to Perseverance and Possibility,” while a panel session titled, “Late Bloomers, Great Achievers: Why It Is Never Too Late to Pursue Purpose,” will feature Prof. M.T. Adekilekun (SAN) and Hon. Gboyega Nasir Isiaka (GNI).
Expected at the celebration are prominent personalities from the legal profession, politics, academia and traditional institutions, including Rt. Hon. Adekoya Adesegun Abdel-Majid, HRH Oba Abidakun Obikoya (Oloni of Oni), HRH Oba Olusegun Ogunye (Ojotomoro of Abigi), HRH Oba Kazeem Salam (Osobia of Imakun-Omi), Otunba Segun Sowunmi, Chief Bukola Olopade, Dr. Chucks Onuoha, Prof. Nasir Najeem, and several lawmakers, Senior Advocates of Nigeria, professors and business leaders.
Rufai, popularly known as Beeko, first came into the limelight as Students’ Union President of Olabisi Onabanjo University before building a career in public service and legislative administration.

As part of the celebration, Rufai will formally unveil his law firm, which is committed to providing practical, innovative, and client-focused legal solutions while upholding the highest standards of professionalism and integrity.
The celebration, billed for 2 p.m. at Barcelona Hotel International, Wuse 2, Abuja, is expected to bring together family, friends, professional associates and well-wishers to honour a journey of leadership, perseverance and academic achievement.
