Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola (YAYI), on Tuesday continued his statewide consultations with party leaders and stakeholders, holding separate strategic meetings with APC leaders from Ewekoro, Odeda and Abeokuta South Local Government Areas at H3 Events Centre, Abeokuta.

The meetings formed part of his ongoing engagements across the 20 Local Government Areas of Ogun State to strengthen party unity, assess the APC’s performance in previous elections and consolidate grassroots structures ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Addressing stakeholders, Senator Yayi emphasised the need for reconciliation, inclusiveness and stronger grassroots mobilisation, stressing that the party must always place its collective interest above individual ambitions. He warned against anti-party activities and internal divisions, assuring members that efforts were underway to reconcile aggrieved stakeholders and accommodate both former aspirants and new entrants into the party.

He also unveiled plans to strengthen the APC’s ward structures through a collegiate leadership system, noting that greater responsibility would be placed on ward leaders to coordinate mobilisation, deepen stakeholder engagement and improve the party’s electoral performance across the state.

While expressing concern over the party’s previous electoral performances in Ewekoro and Abeokuta South, Senator Yayi urged stakeholders to address the factors responsible for the setbacks and work together to secure decisive victories in 2027. He, however, commended Odeda Local Government for its impressive performance in the last election, while challenging party leaders to surpass that achievement by delivering even more votes for the APC.

The meetings featured robust contributions from stakeholders across the three local government areas, with participants reaffirming their commitment to party unity, grassroots engagement and the success of the APC. They also advocated greater inclusiveness, sustained reconciliation, stronger collaboration among party leaders and continued support for party structures at the ward level.

In his closing remarks, Senator Yayi reiterated his commitment to building a united and formidable APC across Ogun State, expressing confidence that with sustained unity, effective grassroots mobilisation and the collective commitment of party members, the APC would record overwhelming victories in the 2027 general elections.
The meetings were attended by APC leaders including
Chief Yemi Sanusi, Ogun State APC chairman, Rt Hon Daisi Elemide, Speaker of Ogun State House of Assembly, Senator Shuaib Salisu(APC, Ogun Central),Hon Olumide Osoba,(APC, Obafemi Owode/Abeokuta North/Odeda Federal Constituency)
