Former Governor, Osoba dedicates family house.

Former governor of Ogun state, Chief Olusegun Osoba has called on all Ataba family to continue to show love among themselves, as it is the foundation of a better and united family.
Chief Osoba who made the call during the dedication of the newly constructed Ataba family house in Ago Oba, Abeokuta, Ogun state, said that Ataba family and its members can only progress in an atmosphere of love and peace.
He urged them to sustain the cordiality and love among themselves in the overall interest of the family.
Akinrogun Osoba explained that the old family house was demolished during the regime of Governor Ibikunle Amosun to less than a quarter of the building to give way for development saying that he had it in mind since then to build a befitting modern house for Ataba family.
Chief Osoba who was full of praises and joy said that he was happy seeing the legacy of Ataba family in another modern form that was not erased from among the family houses in Ago Oba and by extension in Abeokuta as well as Ogun state in general.
Speaking earlier, the head of the family, Chief Gbolahan Shokunbi expressed joy that his dream has finally come through, he thanked Chief Osoba for ensuring the dream of a new family house become a reality.
In his goodwill message at the event, a member of the family and former Managing Director of WAPCO Lafarge plc, Chief Ranti Shokunbi commended Chief Osoba for putting Ataba family in his heart always, stressing that he remains the pillar that holds the family tightly.
In his sermon, the vicar in charge of St. Michael Anglican church, Archdeaconry, Ago Oba, Venerable Dr Olayeni charged everyone to continue to keep faith in God, as God is the maker and provider of all things.
Venerable Olayeni enjoined members of Ataba family to be focussed and be dedicated always and also be closer to God.
Members of Ataba family attended the programme from all walks of life, among them are Chief Olusegun Osoba, former Governor of Ogun State, Chief Ranti Shokunbi, former MD WAPCO/ Lafarge plc, Dr Solomon Shokunbi, Director, Hospital services, Ogun state ministry of health, Comrade Wole Shokunbi, former chairman, Nigeria Union of Journalists, ( NUJ), Ogun state council among others.
Other dignitaries at the event include, former Primate of Anglican church, Nigeria, Primate Jasper Akinola, Olu of Owode, Oba Kolawole Sowemimo and Olu of Oba, Oba Ganiyu Adegun in Obafemi/ Owode local government area of Ogun State respectively.
