The Senator- Elect, Ogun West Senatorial District, Senator Olamilekan Adeola Yayi has congratulates Muslim faithfuls on the sighting of the Crescent moon which signifies conclusion of the Holy month of Ramadan and Celebration of Eid El Fitr.
Senator Yayi in his Eid -el- Fitr message to his constituents and other Nigerians prayed that Almighty Allah will answer the prayers and sacrifices of everyone as presented in the month of Ramadan, hoping that the spiritual lessons of Ramadan and the injunctions of Holy Prophets on self-denial, love, peaceful co-existence, fairness and justice will continue in their daily lives.
The senator called on Muslims and other Nigerians to continue in their prayers for a successful transition to a new administration in May 29 especially the incoming administration of Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu as well as other administrations at the state level and the 10th National Assembly.
“We have many challenges facing the nation. From economic problems to insecurity and hazard of climate change, our nation must make serious effort to provide succour to its people. We should pray for Allah’s guidance for our incoming new leaders at all levels in fostering a renewed hope of better days and years ahead” he stated.
While acknowledging that the religion of Islam is a religion of peace and love of Allah and fellow human beings Senator Adeola urged Muslims to continue in all the pious and righteous ways associated with the Ramadan adding that tolerance and peaceful co-existence should be a way of life for all of us as government attempt to find solutions to myriads of security and socioeconomic problems.
