…5days warning strike starts today,monday-JUSUN Chairman
The judiciary workers in Ogun state have embarked on a five (5)days warning strike as declared by the Judiciary workers Union of Nigeria,JUSUN Ogun state Branch to press home the demand for the inclusion in the 40 Percent Peculiar Allowance currently being enjoyed by other civil servants in the state.
Activities at the at state Judiciary Complex along Kobape road and state high court isabo among others were either grounded or at its lowest ebb as the judiciary workers who were supposed to carry out their daily activities in ensuring smooth running of the judiciary proceedings and other works didn’t resume for work today , Monday, 26th, February,2024.
Findings also revealed that other Judiciary workers in courts located outside the state capital complied with the strike directive.
The Ogun state Chairman of JUSUN Comrade Lion Ajiboye Tunji Olanrewaju said the union is satisfied with the level of compliance by members urging the state government to heed to the agitations of judiciary workers by paying the 40 percent Peculiar Allowance as the judiciary arm of government play pivotal roles in governance and nation building.
“The Five Days Warning Strike which began today, Monday 26th February will last till Friday,1st of March 2024 except the government concedes to the demands of the union.” Ajiboye maintained.
