As political momentum gradually builds ahead of 2027, conversations around credible and capable representation have begun to take center stage, particularly in Abeokuta North, Odeda, and Obafemi Owode Federal Constituency.

For many constituents, the search is not just for a candidate but for a leader with proven competence, administrative experience, and the capacity to deliver meaningful development.

In this regard, Engr. (Hon.) Oludotun Taiwo, FNSE, popularly known as Twinny, stands out as a strong and dependable choice in Abeokuta North, Odeda, and Obafemi Owode Federal Constituency.

Born with a passion for excellence and service, Engr. Oludotun has built a remarkable profile that blends technical expertise with administrative competence.

His academic journey confirm his commitment to knowledge and professional development, having obtained his National Diploma in Electrical Electronics Engineering from the then Ogun Polytechnic now Moshood Abiola Polytechnic, and later a Higher National Diploma in Electrical Power Engineering from Yaba College of Technology.

He further advanced his qualifications with a Post Graduate Diploma from Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, alongside an international certification in Public Utility Regulation and Strategy from the University of Florida, USA

Beyond academics, Engr. Oludotun professional experience spans both the private and public sectors. He rose through the ranks at Unistar Hi-Tech Systems Ltd in Lagos to become General Manager before venturing into public service.

His technical contributions were also evident during his time as a member of the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC) Metering Code Panel, where he played a role in shaping regulatory frameworks within the power sector.

Engr. Oludotun transition into governance has been marked by impactful leadership and policy-driven results.

He served as Ogun State Commissioner for Rural Development from 2020, where he championed inclusive growth by improving infrastructure and socio-economic conditions in rural communities.

His performance earned him further trust, leading to his appointment as Commissioner for Forestry in 2023 under the administration of Prince Dapo Abiodun.

Under his leadership in the Ministry of Forestry, significant milestones have been recorded. These include exceeding 85% of the ministry’s 2025 revenue target, revitalizing moribund forest reserves such as Oja Odan through Public-Private Partnerships, and leasing over 3,000 hectares of forest land to investors, thereby boosting revenue and creating employment opportunities.

His tenure has also been defined by environmental sustainability initiatives, including large-scale tree planting campaigns and the “One Citizen, One Tree” initiative, as well as partnerships aimed at restoring degraded lands.

In the area of security, Engr. Oludotun strengthened forest protection through collaboration with Amotekun operatives and forest guards, effectively curbing illegal activities and enhancing safety within forest reserves.

What further distinguishes Engr. Oludotun is his experience within the corridors of state governance. Having worked as a two-term commissioner under the administration of Prince Dapo Abiodun, he brings a wealth of administrative experience, institutional knowledge, and strategic insight into governance.

This exposure places him in a strong position to attract development, facilitate government interventions, and effectively represent the interests of his people.

Representation, particularly at higher levels, goes beyond rhetoric, it requires the ability to connect, influence policy, and deliver tangible results. Engr. Oludotun’s blend of technical background, governance experience, and grassroots engagement positions him as a bridge between government and the people, ensuring that their needs are not only voiced but addressed.

In addition to his public service, he has demonstrated a strong commitment to humanity through various humanitarian efforts, earning recognition from reputable organizations including the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) Information Chapel and being listed among top role models in Ogun State.

As a fellow of the Nigerian Society of Engineers and a registered member of COREN, his professional integrity and excellence remain unquestionable. His career reflects a rare combination of discipline, innovation, and service-driven leadership.

At a time when the electorate demands proven capacity and measurable impact, Engr. Oludotun Taiwo stands tall as a candidate with both the experience and vision required for effective representation. His story is one of growth, service, and results.

Indeed, giving a national assignment to a tested technocrat and administrator is not just a call. It is a necessity.

Engr. Oludotun represents a forward-looking choice, one that aligns with the aspirations of development, effective governance, and sustainable progress in Abeokuta North, Odeda and Obafemi Owode Federal Constituency.
