The son of the Onirolu of Irolu, Prince Adeyiga Abidemi (PAA), has welcomed the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ogun State, Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola, popularly known as Yayi, to Ogun Waterside Local Government Area of Ogun East Senatorial District for a stakeholders’ meeting ahead of the 2027 general election.
Prince Adeyiga, an APC chieftain from Ward 10 in Ikenne Local Government Area, said the senator’s visit to engage party leaders and stakeholders across the state underscored his commitment to inclusive leadership and broad-based consultations aimed at strengthening the ruling party ahead of the governorship poll.
The prince’s position was contained in a statement issued by the Evergreen Media Team and signed by Babasola Oladapo, in which he described Senator Adeola as a political juggernaut and a versatile leader whose style of consultation had continued to endear him to party faithful and the people across Ogun State.
According to him, Yayi’s wide consultations with critical stakeholders would no doubt consolidate the APC’s unity and translate into a landslide victory for the party in the 2027 governorship election.
Prince Adeyiga particularly commended Senator Adeola for financing the restoration of electricity to Ogun Waterside Local Government after years of darkness, describing the intervention as one of the most impactful constituency projects ever executed in the area.
He also applauded the extension of the re-electrification project to several communities in Ijebu East Local Government, noting that the intervention had restored hope to residents, stimulated commercial activities and improved the socio-economic wellbeing of the affected communities.
The Irolu prince further observed that Senator Adeola’s developmental projects are visible across the Ogun East Senatorial District, adding that the lawmaker’s performance has strengthened public confidence in his capacity to govern the state.
He expressed confidence that Ogun State would witness rapid transformation if Adeola emerges governor in 2027, saying the senator possesses the vision and leadership qualities required to reposition the state for accelerated development.
He added that under Yayi’s administration, Ogun would become “a small London” through massive investments in infrastructure, education, healthcare, economic growth and other critical sectors.
Prince Adeyiga also lauded Governor Dapo Abiodun for what he described as remarkable achievements recorded in the last seven years under the Building Our Future Together agenda.
He said the governor had accelerated development through sustained investments in infrastructure, healthcare, education, industrialisation and economic development across the state.
He equally commended the grassroots mobilisation efforts of the Chairman of Ikenne Local Government, Hon. Jamiu Muhammed Asimi, the APC House of Representatives candidate for Remo Federal Constituency, FAECO, and the APC House of Assembly candidate for Ikenne State Constituency, Hon. Seyi Odumuyiwa.
He expressed confidence that the level of mobilisation by party leaders and supporters would deliver overwhelming victories for Senator Adeola’s governorship ambition, Governor Dapo Abiodun’s senatorial bid and other APC candidates across Ogun East in the 2027 general elections.
