Former Governor of Ogun State and National Leader of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Chief Olusegun Osoba, has pledged massive votes from the state for the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the 2027 presidential election.
Osoba made the pledge on Wednesday in Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital, at the official launch of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors’ Ogun State Secretariat.
The elder statesman described Ogun and the South-West as strategically important to the political fortunes of President Tinubu, noting the region’s role in the 2023 presidential election and its significance ahead of the 2027 poll.
Osoba said the people of Ogun State would ensure that President Tinubu secures a second term, urging residents to turn out in large numbers to vote for the President.
“In Ogun State, we will ensure that Tinubu gets a second term. Let us vote in a way that will shame our detractors. It is not just that Tinubu must win; it is that the voting must be very heavy.”
Speaking at the event, the Director-General and Coordinator of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors, Governor Hope Uzodinma, said the organisation’s grassroots mobilisation structure was designed to ensure effective coordination across the country.
Uzodinma, who was represented at the launch by former National Publicity Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Olisa Metuh, said the organisation had established coordinators across the various levels of the electoral structure.
According to Metuh, the group has 37 state coordinators, six zonal coordinators and directors, 774 local government coordinators, 8,821 ward coordinators and 4,421,000 polling-unit coordinators.
“Renewed Hope is the bedrock of the campaign for the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. There is no structure ever created in the history of Nigeria that has ever had these kinds of structures at the polling unit,” Metuh said.
Also speaking, the South-West Coordinator of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors, Senator Dayo Adeyeye, reaffirmed the group’s commitment to mobilising support for President Tinubu ahead of the 2027 election.
Adeyeye, while recalling the popular “Emi Lokan” slogan, described the inauguration of the Ogun State Secretariat in Abeokuta as symbolic of the group’s determination to strengthen its grassroots presence in the state.

Oludaisi Elemide; Director-General of the APC Campaign Council in Ogun State, Senator Lekan Mustapha; Senator Olugbenga Obadara; Member representing Abeokuta North/Obafemi-Owode/Odeda Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Olumide Osoba; and the Chairmen of Abeokuta South and Abeokuta North Local Government Areas, Balogun Afeez Olaniyi and Lanre Oyegbola-Shodipo respectively.
