The Osun State Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke has approved the appointment of new Vice Chancellor, Professor Taiwo Olufemi ASAOLU and three other principal officers for the University of Ilesa.
In a statement signed by the Spokesperson to the Executive Governor Mallam Olawale Rasheed and made available to newsmen noted that the Secretary to the State Government, Hon Teslim Igbalaye issued letters of appointments to the principal officers today Thursday 13th April, in his office.
The SSG was also reported to have also hosted the appointees in his office where he charged them to uphold the virtues of professionalism and integrity which warranted the approval of their appointment by the State Governor.
The names of the new principal officers are
Professor Taiwo Olufemi ASAOLU Vice Chancellor,
Funso Olawale OJO
Registrar and the Bursar is Dr. Mukaila Oyesegun OYEKANMI
Mr. Adewale Amobi OGUNSIPE is appointed as the Librarian.
Taiwo Asaolu is a Nigerian professor of accounting and finance. He is also a Fellow (FCA) of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria. He is the former Dean, faculty of administration, Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Osun State, Nigeria.
Prof Asaolu was the Chairman of the University of Ilesa Review Committee which was set up by Governor Adeleke to address all outstanding issues for the eventual take off of the University.
