
The planning committee for the Southwest Legendary Awards (SLA) 2025 has officially unveiled the distinguished awardees for the 7th edition of the prestigious event.
The unveiling took place during a press conference themed “The King’s Edition” at the JM Royal Haven Event Centre in Sagamu, Ogun State.
The event, scheduled for Thursday, October 9th, 2025, promises to be a grand celebration of excellence, with a red carpet ceremony starting at 1:00 pm and the main event kicking off at 2:00 pm.
According to the Convener, Southwest Legendary Award / CEO, DDMC Event, Prince Taiwo Gbadebo, the unveiling is part of their transparency policy, and they have deemed it essential to address the public and the media about the awardees.
The Southwest Legendary Awards aim to recognize and honor outstanding individuals and organizations in various fields.
This year’s edition is expected to be spectacular, with the stage set for a celebration of distinction.

Otunba (Dr) Adebola Akindele, Yeye Oba Bolaji Akinmulero, Hon. (Dr) Ola Oresanya, Adedimeji Lateef, Comrade Bunmi Adigun, Justone Homes, Tobi Flecher (Ofada Boy), Alh. Sefiu Alao, Princess Adedolapo Adeyemi, Amb. Habeeb Whyte, Antar Laniyan, Hon. Hammed Adebolu Sekere of Lagos, Akinyola Ayoola (Kamo State), Caleb Olayinka, Ayodeji Oluwasola, OTP Kitchen, Teniola Foundation, Wale Rasaq, Chief Adebayo Israel Adigun Olowe, Lawal Feyisara, DJ Glory, Zainab Agbaogun (Hejiwumi Akewi).
“These honorees were selected through an open call for nominations, rigorous background checks, and verification of their exceptional achievements. They represent excellence, dedication, and passion—qualities that define true legends.
“What makes this Award distinct is our resolute commitment to credibility, ensuring it remains a true benchmark for measuring achievements and excellence in the Southwest region of Nigeria.”
He added further that Over the years, the Southwest Legendary Awards has evolved into an iconic event. The 2025 edition, “The King’s Edition,” will be no exception—a celebration of the best of the best.
The event will be Chaired by Hon. Mobolaji Ogunlende, Honorable Commissioner Ministry of Youth and Social Development, Lagos State.
