The Lagos State Independent Electoral Commission has presented a Certificate of Return to Hon. Sanya Olusegun Elijah Olumose, who emerged as councillor-elect for Ward C, Ojokoro Local Council Development Area in the July 12 local government election.
The event was held on Wednesday, July 16, 2025 at LASIEC headquarters in Yaba, Lagos, where elected chairmen and councillors from the 20 Local Government Areas and 37 Local Council Development Areas of the state received their certificates.
Before heading to the LASIEC office, the councillor-elect and other elected officials had earlier converged at the All Progressives Congress Secretariat on ACME Road, Ogba, for a pre-event gathering with party leaders.
Hon. Olumose was accompanied by his Personal Assistant on Media and Publicity, Comrade Obipehin Adeniyi Ibraheem, and his Personal Assistant on Special Duties, Comrade Balalola Sunday, also known as Lesu Tee.
Speaking after receiving his certificate, Olumose thanked God, the APC, traditional and religious leaders for their support throughout the election process.
He pledged loyalty to the leadership of Ojokoro LCDA, led by Executive Chairman, Barrister Oluyemisi Rosiji, and Vice Chairman, Hon. Tunde he Oyekunle Balogun.
According to him, the new mandate would be used to promote development in Ward C and strengthen grassroots participation in governance.
