
The Ogun state council of Nigeria Union of Journalists has finalized steps towards the decoration Chief Mrs. Mojísọlá Oni Quadri, the Chief Executive Officer of Oni Electronics, and the Ibuso Aje of Egbaland, as the new Patroness of the Union.
The event according to the statement signed by the Ogun NUJ state chairman , Comrade Wale Olanrewaju and Comrade Bunmi Adigun, the secretary, marks a new chapter in the Council’s history, as Chief Mrs. Mojísọlá Oni Quadri becomes the next distinguished woman to hold this honorary position, following in the footsteps of the late Chief Mrs. Alaba Lawson, who last held the esteemed role.
The Ibuso Aje title holder is widely respected for her leadership in the electronics industry and her consistent support for community development and journalism.
The statement further noted that her appointment as NUJ Patroness is expected to further strengthen the relationship between the media and the private sector in Ogun State.
The NUJ Ogun Council therefore invites all stakeholders, members of the press, and the general public to attend the historic unveiling, which shall be chaired by His Royal Highness Oba Abdul-Fatai Akorede Akamo, the Olu of Itori.
The event is slated for Wednesday, 18th June, 2025, by 4pm at the Olusegun Osoba Hall, Iwe Iroyin, Abeokuta
