
Speaker of the Ogun State House of Assembly, Rt. Honourable Elemide Oludaisi has Performed a groundbreaking of the Ogun State Headquarters of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) Access Control and perimeter fencing.
The ceremony marked a significant milestone in the development of the NSCDC, Ogun State’s security infrastructure.
The Speaker, Oludaisi, praised the NSCDC’s professionalism and commended the officers attached to him for their dedication and service.
He emphasized the importance of the access control point and perimeter fencing, stating that it would ensure a safe and conducive environment for personnel to operate effectively.

The Speaker also urged the NSCDC to maintain its professional standards while seeking stakeholders collaboration in completing the project, ensuring that justice is served without compromise whenever anyone is erred.
Other stakeholders, including the Special Adviser to the Governor on Security Matters, AIG Zubairu (rtd), General Manager of Ogun State Signage and Advertising Agency, Fola Onifade, and the representative of the Alawowo of Awowo, pledged their support for the project.
They noted that the NSCDC officers in Ogun State are performing their duties in accordance with the global best practices.

The Zonal Commander, Zone 1, ACG AKinbo Olusegun, represented by Commandant Abidemi Majekodunmi harped on the importance of upgrading and developing the Corps through infrastructural development, training and retraining for personnel in order to put the Corps in the same gazette in accordance with world’s Military and Paramilitary standard.
Earlier in her opening speech, the State Commandant of NSCDC, Remilekun Ekundayo, described the project as a milestone achievement that would enhance security infrastructure, operational efficiency, and safety for personnel and assets.
She explained that the access control point would regulate movements, prevent unauthorized access, and protect the facility from external threats.
The Commandant appealed to stakeholders, including the Ogun State Government, to assist in completing the project.
She also commended the state government, led by Governor Dapo Abiodun, for their support while seeking for more.
Regarding the upcoming Eid-el-Kabir celebration, the Commandant noted that over 2,555 officers have been deployed across the state to ensure the safety of lives and properties before, during and after the celebration.
