…Honours Retired Principals with Awards

In a heartwarming display of its commitment to service and bridging the gap between the rich and less privileged, De Re-unite Club of Ado Odo has presented scholarships to six public primary and secondary school students in Ado Odo. The club has promised to foot their educational expenses until they graduate from school.
The event, held at the Ado Odo Town Hall on Thursday, May 29th, also featured the presentation of awards to retired principals in recognition of their contributions to education in the community.

In his speech , the club’s president, Captain Ajiboye Oluwagbemiga Olatunji (rtd),represented explained that the gesture was driven by the importance the club attaches to education and its commitment to ensuring that no one is left behind.
Aside from the scholarship, the club presented school bags and writing materials to the students, aiming to ease the financial burden on their parents. The president emphasized the crucial role teachers play in education, hence the need to commend and celebrate the retired principals with awards of recognition.
The scholarship beneficiaries are:
1. Kere Mujeeb, Methodist Schools I, ADO-ODO, Primary 5
2. Kudonupo Okikiola, Methodist School II, ADO-ODO, Primary 4
3. Ogunleye Mujiola, Community Primary School, ADO-ODO Ijigbo, Primary 5
4. Amore Akanji, Local Government Primary School, Idi-Ogede, ADO-ODO
5. Taiwo Zainab, All Saints Anglican School (CMS), ADO-ODO
6. Adediran Fathia, Special School Ijebu
The retired principals recognized with awards are:
- Chief Isaiah Olatokunbo Akinsowon, Alamuwa Grammar School.
- Adesakin Army day secondary schools Owode
- Alani Lawal Community high school ketu Adiye owe
- Alhaji Akinola Alamuwa Grammar School Ado Odo
- Chief Alagbe Iganmode Grammar School Ota

The event was attended by dignitaries, including the Ogun State Chairman of JUSUN, Comrade (Lion) Ajiboye Olanrewaju Tunji, and featured a special recognition for the Olofin Adimula Oodua of Ado, Oba Olusola Idris Osolo Otenibotemole II.

The representative of the awardees appreciated the gesture and called on other clubs and well-meaning Nigerians to support the government in developing education.
The rich cultural heritage of Ado Odo was on display through a cultural dance performance by pupils of the Local Government Primary School, Idi-Ogede.
