…says, upgrade will boost youth development
The recent upgrade of sporting facilities in Ogun state has been described as heartwarming and a reassurance of better future for the youth development.
Special Assistant to Ogun State Governor on Youth Affairs, Olamide Lawal, who stated this while speaking in Abeokuta, Ogun State capital, commended Governor Dapo Abiodun, for the remarkable facelift he gave Sports and sporting facilities in the state.
Lawal, who is also the National President of the APC Youth league, said “this impressive initiative, undertaken ahead of the National Sports Festival, is a testament to the governor’s visionary leadership and dedication to empowering the state’s youths through sports”.
According to Lawal, “the upgrade of sporting facilities will not only enhance Ogun State’s hosting capacity, but also provide a platform for young people to showcase their talents, strengths, and resources. This initiative will undoubtedly bring about a new wave of opportunities for our youths, allowing them to flourish and reach their full potentials”
He maintained that the development of sports infrastructure in the State is expected to have a positive impact on the youths in the state.
“With access to world-class facilities, young athletes will be able to train and compete at the national level, thereby showcasing their talents and achieving greatness”, he emphasized.
The APC Youth stalwart urged the youths to seize the opportunity in making the best use of the facilities in a bid to enhance their skills and reach new heights.
“We are proud of our governor’s achievements, and we look forward to more empowerment for our youths, even after the ongoing National Sports Festival. It is clear that these top-notch sporting facilities will play a major role in making the state youth populace more capable in their various fields of choice and broaden their talents,” Lawal concluded.
