Says victory is a call to service, pledges inclusive representation

Sanya Olusegun Elijah Olumose has emerged winner of the All Progressives Congress (APC) councillorship primary election for Ward C in Ojokoro Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Lagos State.

Olumose secured a total of 10 votes to defeat his closest challenger, Bello Olalekan, who polled six votes in the exercise held under the watchful eyes of party officials, observers, and security agencies.

The primary, which took place on Saturday, was part of the APC’s internal democratic process ahead of the forthcoming local government elections in the state. Delegates drawn from across Ward C participated in the exercise, which party leaders described as peaceful and credible.

Speaking shortly after the declaration of the results, Olumose thanked the delegates for entrusting him with the mandate to represent the ward, describing the victory as a call to service. He reiterated his commitment to delivering inclusive and responsive governance at the grassroots level.

“This is not just my victory; it is a victory for every resident of Ward C who desires progress, accountability, and development. I am ready to work with all stakeholders to ensure our ward is not left behind in the developmental plans of Ojokoro LCDA,” he said.

In a show of sportsmanship, Bello Olalekan congratulated Olumose and called on his supporters to rally behind the party’s candidate. He urged unity within the APC as the party prepares for the general council elections.
