In what is shaping up to be a transformative moment for sports development in Ojokoro LCDA, a grassroots sports advocate and councillorship hopeful, Sanya Olusegun Elijah, popularly known as Olumose, has unveiled a bold vision to reposition sporting activities within Ward C.
With a passion rooted in his popular agenda,“Catch Them Young for World Exposure”, Olumose is determined to unearth and showcase raw, untapped talents in the Ward to a global audience. His blueprint includes creating vibrant opportunities across a range of sports, from football and table tennis to draft, ludo, snooker, and lawn tennis.
Olumose, known for his extensive grassroots connections and unflinching love for sports, believes that engaging youths through sporting programs is key to eradicating crime and promoting socio-economic growth.
“Supporting my ambition is not just about politics, it’s about purpose. We are using sports to change lives, connect communities, and project Ward C to international sporting communities,” he said.
Residents, friends and youth leaders in Ward C have lauded his efforts, saying that his emergence signals hope for a long-awaited renaissance in community sports and youth engagement.
Olumose’s supporters argue that his vision, if given the right support, could position Ojokoro LCDA as a talent hub and a model for community-driven sports development across Lagos State.
