The Chief Executive Officer of one of the fastest growing Real estate in Nigeria, Pelican Estates, Ambassador (Dr.) Babatunde Adeyemo has made the list of list of the top 100 leaders to watch in the country’s real estate industry in 2025 as unveiled by the Housing Development Advocacy Network (HDAN), Nigeria’s leading pioneer nonprofit and research organization committed to advancing affordable housing.

This initiative aims to spotlight key players across real estate, building technology, cement, and building materials manufacturing sectors who are poised to significantly impact housing delivery in the new year.

According to Festus Adebayo, Executive Director of HDAN, the selection was based on a critical appraisal of their performances in the past year with a report by its first specialized television station, Housing TV Africa, channel 149 on StarTimes.

He noted that these leaders have demonstrated exceptional dedication and innovation in their roles, making them vital stakeholders in the effort to address Nigeria’s housing deficit.

“After thoroughly reviewing their contributions to the sector in 2024, we identified these individuals as those who deserve to be motivated and engaged. Their record of collaboration with the private sector and partnerships with the federal government position them as key players to drive housing delivery in 2025,” Adebayo stated.

He emphasized the importance of government’s engagement with these leaders to achieve meaningful progress. “For affordable housing to become a reality, the government must collaborate with the private sector, particularly those who have demonstrated capacity and commitment. These are the players who can help us achieve the housing goals we desperately need,” he added.

HDAN, which boasts of a membership of over 5,000 professionals across the housing and construction industry, has consistently championed innovative solutions to Nigeria’s housing challenges.

The organization’s efforts range from advocating for housing reforms to organizing platforms that foster collaboration between stakeholders.

The release of the top 100 leaders to watch reflects HDAN’s continued commitment to fostering a robust housing sector.

By recognizing and motivating key industry players, the organization aims to inspire greater innovation and collaboration, ultimately advancing the dream of making housing accessible and sustainable for all Nigerians.

As Nigeria continues to grapple with a significant housing deficit, initiatives like this underscore the need for a collaborative approach among the government, private sector, and civil society.

With the spotlight now on these 100 leaders, 2025 promises to be a transformative year for the real estate industry in Nigeria.
