The Nigeria Union of Journalists NUJ NTA Chapel in Ogun State felicitates the National President of NUJ, Comrade Alhassan Yahaya, Ogun State Chairman of NUJ Comrade Wale Olanrewaju, the Seventeen Chapels of the Union as well as every Practising and retired men of the pen Profession in Ogun State for the grace to witness the new year 2025.
The Chapel in a new year statement signed by the Chairman Comrade Yemmy Dalemo and Secretary Comrade Luqman Adefeso salute the doggedness, professionalism and commitment to ethical Journalism of members of the union in the outgone year 2024.
The statement particularly celebrate the Chairman of the Council Wale Olanrewaju for the success of the recently concluded 2024 Press Week that saw among others recognising excellence among members as a way of spuring them to give their best to the Profession and encouraging healthy rivalry among the members.
While joining other well meaning Nigerians to wish every Journalist happy and rewarding 2025, the statement called for more dedication to duty and adherence to ethical standards and developmental Journalism devoid of ambiguity and biases in their reportage.
“All glory be to God for the grace to witness another New Year. It is our prayers that in 2025, we shall make better exploits and record unprecedented success” the statement added.
We equally salute the management of the three NTA Stations in Ogun State particularly the four Manager News and Current Affairs for their professional guidance and team spirit extended to every member in Ogun State.
We equally appreciate Ogun State Governor Prince Dapo Abiodun, his cabinet members most importantly Hon Commissioners for Finance and Chief Economic Adviser to the Governor Mr Dapo Okubadejo and his Housing Counterpart Jagunmolu Jamiu Omoniyi among others for their support at various times to members of NUJ.
The Chapel also wish the Outstanding Youth Parliamentarian of the Year and Most Gender Friendly Parliamentarian in the Ogun State House of Assembly, Honourable Lukman Adeleye and Bakare Omolola Olanrewaju a happy new year and appreciate their unwavering support to the Journalism Profession.
2025 shall be a greater year for us all.
