…Comrade Ajiboye urges the senior citizens to discover new interests and Passions
In a move to equip the Senior Citizens with knowledge, skills, and strategies necessary to navigate and live a meaningful life after Service, the Ogun State Branch of the Judiciary Staff Union Of Nigeria, JUSUN has organised a one day Post Retirement Training for Some members who are due for retirement after meritorious years of service.
The Training was tagged “the Art of Retirement: Creating a Meaningful and Engaging Post-Work Life,”
The Training according to the state Chairman of JUSUN, Comrade(Lion) Ajiboye Olanrewaju Tunji became necessary because the Union believes that retirees deserved to live a meaningful life after serving the government and people of Ogun state diligently and there is need to assist them to smoothly transition from a structured work to a more flexible life style as well enlighten them on the limitless opportunities that are waiting to be tapped in their new journey of life.
Comrade Olanrewaju commended the retirees for their immeasurable contributions to the development of the union while urging them to explore new interests and develop new passions.
According to him: “Today, we come together to commemorate a significant milestone in the lives of our retired members, ushering in a new era of limitless possibilities, opportunities, and personal fulfilment.
“We acknowledge the beginning of an exciting new chapter in their lives, filled with promise, freedom, and the pursuit of long-held passions.
“In our commitment to supporting our members throughout their journey, the Ogun State Chapter of JUSUN organised this training to educate and enlighten our retired members on the importance of life after retirement. The objectives of this seminar are to help the retirees smoothly transition from a structured work life to a more flexible retirement lifestyle:provide opportunities to learn new skills, explore new interests, and develop new passions; offer a platform to connect with others; build new relationships; discover new purpose and meaning in life, reducing the risk of boredom, isolation, depression; and improve their overall quality of life.” Comrade Ajiboye Added
He therefore expressed gratitude to the Honourable Chief Judge of Ogun State, Hon. Justice Mosunmola Arinola Dipeolu FICMC, FHNR, for her support towards fostering an environment conducive to the success of the event.

Comrade Ayuba Olatunji,the Immediate Past President of Ogun State NULGE who shared valuable insights on Designing a Purposeful and Fulfilling Life After Retirement advised them to maintain and healthy lifestyle.
A Public Analyst and Labour Veteran, who was also a former National Vice President, NUPSRAW and former JNC Chairman, Ogun State Council, Comrade (Dr.) Emmanuel Sunday Adeegbe, was the second speaker, who tutored the retirees on the topic ” Retirement Process: A Psychological and Emotional Journey.
