The Executive Chairman, Ogun Waterside Local Government, Abigi Hon. Odunnoiki Adetoye AbduGaniyu has received Royal Blessings from all the Traditional Rulers of Ijebu Land under the umbrella of His Imperial Majesty, Oba Dr. Sikiru Kayode Adetona, Ogbagba the Second, Awujale and Paramount Ruler of Ijebu Land.
This came up during their meeting at the Awujale’s Palace in Ijebu Ode hosted by Ogun Waterside Local Government.

Olanrewaju Daud Martins, explained that the Orimolusi of Ijebu Igbo, HRM Oba Lawrence Jayeoba who spoke on behalf of the Awujale expressed appreciation and commissioned the Abijaparako of Japara in Ijebu Igbo, HRM. Oba Aderemi Ogunye to pray for the Council’s Chairman, Hon. Odunnoiki for his steadfastness, commitment and prompt response to the traditional institution in the land despite the fact that he has not spent a month in the mantle of leadership in one of the Councils in Ijebu Land. “For him to have sponsored their meeting at this time and within this shortest time in office that means he has respect for the traditional institution and as such he must be blessed.
Speaking also at the reception, the Ebumawe of Ago- Iwoye HRM Oba Adenugba AbdulRasaq and the Obiri of Ayepe Ijebu, HRM. Oba Adebisi Okubanjo who spoke separately urged the Council Boss to move closer to all the Obas in his domain as he will definitely be guided at any point in time. He noticed that Hon. Odunnoiki must have been in the midst of the Elders before attaining the post as he knew what the Elders wanted and he had provided it without much ado so, in the light of that he must be commended and received Royal blessings.
Hon. Odunnoiki in his speech, appreciated all the Kabiyesis in Ijebu Land particularly those from his Council area for accepting him as the then All Progressive Congress Party Candidate, their fatherly roles so far while he promised that this singular effort of our Kabiyesis will never be taken for granted. He reiterated that his doors are opened for comments, advice, constructive criticism and suggestions which is going to help him in taking the Council Area to a greater height.
The high point of the occasion was the Cocktail arrangement in honour of all members of the Ijebu Traditional Council {ITC} organised by the Chairman, Hon. Odunnoiki Adetoye AbduGaniyu.
In the entourage of the Chairman include; Hon. Bolaji Odusanya, Executive Chairman, Ijebu North Local Government, Ijebu Igbo, Hon. Badejo Folorunso Joseph, Executive Chairman, Ijebu North East Local Government, Atan, Mrs. Soda Temitope, Head of Community Development, Comr. Olanrewaju Daud Martins, Head of Information, Education and Sports, Mrs. Olagoke Christiana Funmi, Head of Planning, Research and Statistics as well as Mr. Adedeji Oluwatosin an Administrative Officer while Mr. Femi Soneye and Mr. Adeyiga Olusola are the Palace Administrative Officer and Accountant are amongst many others.
