It is a “New Dawn” in Ogun Waterside Local Government, Abigi as the Executive Chairman of the Council Area, Hon. Odunnoiki Adetoye AbduGaniyu adviced the newly inaugurated members of the Legislative Arm recently.
He enjoined them to focus more on how to compliment his efforts through making meaningful and developmental laws for the benefit of the entire people.
Hon. Odunnoiki stated this while inaugurating the 10th Legislative Council in their Chamber at Secretariat in the presence of the All Progressive Congress Party {APC} Leadership, members and the entire good people of the Local Government.
He appreciated the State Governor, His Excellency, Prince Dapo Abiodun CON for the confidence reposed and the platform given to all of them to serve as he promised not to disappoint him or any of the party leaders in the course of their duties.
The Council Boss also used the medium to appreciate all the Party Leadership for their efforts, commitment, dedication, and doggedness before, during and after the election saying that his administration will do everything possible to bring much awaited dividend of democracy to the nooks and crannies of the Council Area without bias.
He sought for everybody’s support, cooperation and advice towards taking the Local Government to an enviable height as they too have gotten ready to set a pace at every point in time. He added that, as we all know that the Local Government is an agrarian setting, he will work assiduously towards assisting all the farmers in order to have food security for the people which hitherto will later be exported to the neighbouring state for commercial purposes.
He admonished all the inhabitants of the council area to pay taxes, rates, levies, and dues promptly as that’s what will help the government to deliver all the campaign promises which will make lives more meaningful to all.
Some Party Leadership such as the Local Government {APC} Party Chairman, Alhaji Logere Abiola, Former Deputy Speaker, Ogun State House of Assembly, Hon. AbdulAkeem Balogun, Onisin of Ilusin Town, HRM Oba Jimoh Mafe Abimbila and a Former Council Chairman, Hon. Rufai Olatunde AbdulRasaq who spoke differently at the occasion advised both the Executive and the Legislative Arms to work together for the peace, progress and tranquility of the entire populace.
Thereafter, the Clerk of the House, Mr. Odunukan Adebayo Josh conducted election for the post of a Leader of the House amongst the members while Hon.
Ajayi Okeowo Felix from Ode-Omi Ward 10 emerged. Other Principal Officers as it was conducted by the Leader include; Hon. Adams AbdulAzeem Damilola from Abigi Ward 5 was elected Deputy Leader, Hon. Adenuga Hammed Olusegun from Ibiade Ward 3 emerged as the Majority Leader while the post of Chief Whip goes to Hon. Akinbote Oluwaseun Samuel from Ayila-Itebu Ward 8 in that order.

- Hon. Abire Abiodun Adesile from Lukogbe- Ilusin Ward 4.
