As the Ogun State local government elections draw near, residents of Ward 13 in Abeokuta South Local Government Area have made a passionate appeal to the Executive Governor of Ogun State, His Excellency, Governor Dapo Abiodun, Chief Olusegun Osoba, the Akinrogun of Egbaland, and the All Progressives Congress (APC) leaders in the local government. Their request is clear: to have Balogun Olaniyi Afeez nominated as the party’s candidate for the upcoming Local Government elections.
In a recent interview, community leaders and residents of Abeokuta South Local Government Area have overwhelmingly endorsed Hon. Balogun Olaniyi Afeez as their preferred candidate for the chairmanship position in the forthcoming 2024 local government elections. Citing Balogun’s unwavering loyalty, proven competence, and deep commitment to the community, residents, led by the acting Chairman of the Ago Oba Community Development Association (CDA), Alhaji Mutairu Fadeyi Ogo Oluwa and Mr Isiak Owobowale, Chairman, Majago Igbore CDA along with women and youth have rallied behind him.
They emphasize his numerous contributions to the people of Igbore, Ago Oba, Itori, and Ikanna, especially during the challenging period of the COVID-19 pandemic.
“Balogun Afeez has consistently demonstrated compassion and dedication to the welfare of our communities,” a representative of the youth group stated. “His actions speak louder than words, and we believe he is the ideal candidate to lead and serve as the Executive Chairman of Abeokuta South Local Government.”
Among the women, who registered their opinion about BOA and his aspiration was Mrs Olufumilola Sobogun, a member of the All Progressives Congress in ward 13, she said “His presence on the ballot will not only inspire confidence among voters but also secure a resounding victory for the APC in Abeokuta South.”
The APC leadership in Abeokuta South has taken notice of the overwhelming support for Balogun’s candidacy, with many party stalwarts expressing confidence in his ability to deliver a landslide victory in the 2024 elections.
