No fewer than 500 persons in Ogun State have benefitted from the free medical services organized by the association of Nigerian Private Medical Practitioners (ANPMP).

The free health care initiative has brought relief to residents who have being facing inadequate healthcare service and inability to access healthcare in the state-owned medical facilities due to the ongoing strike by the medical doctors.

The exercise held in Ado Odo Ota Local Government Area of the State afford the resident the opportunity to access the medical services free of charge.

Activities of the free medical outreach include health talk, screening and medications for Diabetes, Hypertention, Dental services, Medical counselling and Consultations, as well as treatment of common ailments.

“many of these ailments which we pay little or no attention to are the reasons for sudden collapse of people which now leading to death”.

“Despite all these challenges, it is very unfortunate that our government still allow the medical doctors to embark on strike over their outstanding demands”.

“we can only appeal to Governor Dapo Abiodun to quickly address the demands of the striking medical doctors in order to restore normalcy in the healthcare sector in the state.
