Party stalwarts in Abeokuta South Local Government Area of the State have called on leadership of All Progressive Congress (APC) in Ward 2 to support re election of Hon. Olajuwon Sanyaolu as Councillor for the second term, due to his unblemished records of leadership quality, dedication and transparency while representing the people of the Ward.
The appeal came during the special Ward general monthly meeting of the month under review and welcome back section for Honourable Olajuwon Sanyaolu, held at the Moshood Primary School, Carwash, Abeokuta,Ogun State.
While speaking, the word Chairman, Hon. Olayiwola Olaleye, described Hon. Sanyaolu as a wonderful selfless Councilor that has represented their interest well with transparency at the council in the past three years and had performed beyond expectations by working for the interest of the people of the Ward.
Also speaking at the meeting, Alhaja Funke Soyemi, called on the APC leadership in the State, Local Government and in the ward 2 in Abeokuta South Local Government to ensure that Hon. Oluwajuwon Sanyaolu return to the Council as the Councilor representing them, saying the young man was accountable and had shown good leadership quality which deserve his re-election for the second term.
Speaking at the special Ward meeting, one of the leaders in the ward and a former supervisor for Agriculture in Abeokuta South Local Government, Hon. Mooruf Badmos , joined others to commend the efforts of their Councilor for being resourceful during his service and He said the journey was challenging and as a former council Officer, who had working knowledge among other challenging tasks involved in the Council administration, commended Hon. Sanyaolu for being transparent .
In his response, Honourable Olajuwon Sanyaolu, appreciated, all the leaders and people in his ward 2 , Abeokuta South Local Government for believing in him and standing solidly for his nomination as their Councilorship candidate for re-election. He appreciated Governor Dapo Abiodun for being a pragmatic leader and a resourceful governor who made it possible for them at the Council to have a successful tenure especially at the Abeokuta South, urging his people to re-elect him again as the Councilor to represent their interest.
He however assured to promote socio economic well-being of the people in the ward, considering the Supreme Court approval for Local Government autonomy which would enable the Council have unhindered access to fund for developmental projects.
While welcoming the Hon. Sanyaolu back, the Chairman, reminded him that the call for his reelection bid was not an automatic ticket as the final decision depends on the leadership of the party at the Council and Ward, adding that all members should exercise patient and cooperate with the government in order to achieve the set objectives of good governance in the state.
