…as hon Mudashir reeled out his 3years achievements
The Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun has commended the Chairman of Ogun Waterside Local Government, Hon Mudashir AbdulLateef Adekunle, for his steadfastness, dedication towards delivering the dividends of his democracy which has continued to put smiles on the faces of the people of Ogun Waterside Local Government.
The Governor gave the commendation on Friday at the Government Secretariat during the inauguration of some Developmental Projects across the Ten (10) Wards of the Council Area.
The Governor represented by the special adviser to the governor on Local Government and chieftaincy affairs Hon. Rasaq Dadadah at the epoch making event, noted that the Chairman had demonstrated his ability to fix series of issues confronting the grassroots if given another chance to serve.
Speaking earlier, Hon. Mudashir used the medium to appreciate His Excellency, Prince Dapo Abiodun CON, the Executive Governor of Ogun State together with his cabinet for his fatherly and leadership roles both in the state affairs and political sphere and by extension to all the leaders and every other person, who has contributed meaningfully to the development of the Local Government.
He stressed that, he was able to provide people- oriented and developmental capital projects for the benefit of the people of the Council Area as that of the concrete flooring, fencing, painting and landscaping of the entire Secretariat is major and capital project that was embarked upon by his Administration which is testament to giving a face lift to the Secretariat.
Hon. Mudashir implored the good people of Ogun Waterside Local Government to see this project and other government projects as collective properties which must be guarded jealously for their sustainability, effectiveness and optimal use.
The Council Boss then reeled out his achievements in the last Three (3) year as thus;
- Renovation of a block of 2 Classrooms with office at Community Primary School, Iwopin,
- Renovation of Four Classrooms with office at St. Matthias Primary School, Ilushin
- Repair of the Local Government Komatsu Grader, which we have used greatly in grading our Local Roads.
- Installation of 620 Solar Powered Street Lights across all the Ten Wards
- Renovation of Ita Ogun Health Facility with Toilets
- Renovation of Legislative Chamber with Purchase of Ultra Modern Furniture
- Concrete Flooring/Fencing/Painting & Landscaping of the entire Local Government Secretariat.
- Regular Evacuation of refuse across the Local Government Area,
- Regular purchase of drugs for Health Centres.
- Purchase of official vehicles for the Chairman, Vice Chairman, Leader of the House, Secretary to the L.G, HOLGA as well as for boosting the Internally Generated Revenue (IGR) of the Council Area.
- Clearing of Road Verges on the both sides from Iwopin to J4 junction.
- Purchase of 40 Beds, Pillows, and Mattresses for all the Health Facilities.
- Facilitation of patching of Iwopin to J4 to Abigi Roads respectively. Therefore, “my administration has performed to the best of its ability and in commensuration with the available resources at its disposal. We have been able to deliver on our mandate and campaign promises we made to you when we came to seek for your votes and I hope, with your unflinchingly supports once more, we will be able to do more and bring more dividends of democracy to your doorsteps in our future endeavours, politically.”
He reiterated his little appreciation and honour also to all the electorates, the State Executive Council, the All Progressive Congress Stalwarts, the Executive and Legislative Arms, Management Team, Kabiyesis, Baales, Iyalojas, Babalojas, Religious Leaders, Career/ Political Staff, and Gentlemen of the Press for their supports and cooperations towards achieving this much.
Also, appreciated the Political Leaders in the Local Government for giving him the rare privilege to serve in this capacity as the Executive Chairman for Local Government.
Also speaking at the event were, Dr. Adeshina Adekunmisi one of the APC leaders in the Council Area, Hon. Henry Gbabijo, Pioneer Chief Whip in Ogun House of Assembly and High Chief A. J Mafe the Oba Elect of Ilushin Town and many other dignitaries at the occasion commended the achievements of the Hon. Mudashir led Administration and singled out the efforts at giving the Local Government Secretariat a facelift amongst many other laudable projects such as the provision of 620 Solar Powered Street Lights for all nooks and crannies in a bid to illuminate the entire Local Government.
Other dignitaries that graced the occasion were, the Vice Chairman, Hon. Princess Abioye Philips, Leader of the House, Hon. Ajayi Felix, Secretary to the Local Government, Hon. Ikuenomore Oladipupo, APC Party Stalwarts, Permanent Secretary Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Dr. Head of Local Government Administration, San. Comr. Akeem Balogun, all other Honourable Councillors, Supervisors, Baales, Directors/ Heads of Department, and Heads of Units at the Ministry and Local Government respectively.
