The lawmaker Representing, Ipokia state constituency at the Ogun State House of Assembly, Otunba Bisi Oyedele- Citiside has commended the inspector General of Police, IGP Kayode Egbetokun over what he described as cheering news on the upgrade of Idiroko border town Divisional police headquarters to area command.
in a statement personally signed by the Lawmaker who is also the chairman house committee on Trade, commerce and investment explained that the upgrade will no doubt brings about improved security within that corridor and as well checkmate transborder crime.
According to Hon. Oyedele “Thenews of the timely upgrade of Idiroko Divisional Headquarter to the status of an Area Command came to me with enthusiasm as lives and properties of my people would further be protected.
“I commend the visionary decision by the Inspector General of Police to upgrade the Divisional Police Station in Idiroko to an Area Command amongst others in his 3-Days courtesy visit to Ogun State. This move signifies a significant boost towards bolstering security and law enforcement in our community. The upgrade demonstrates a commitment to proactive measures aimed at safeguarding the lives and property of my constituents.
“I extend my heartfelt appreciation to the Inspector General of Police for prioritizing the safety and well-being of our communities, state and nation by extension.
