EID-EL FITRI FESTIVAL:OGUN NSCDC DEPLOYS 2,300 PERSONNEL

…Promises Adequate Collaboration With Sister Security Agencies and Hitch-free Celebration Across the State

Consequent upon the declaration of the Eid-el Fitri celebration by the Federal Government which have been slated for Tuesday, April 9, Wednesday, April 10 and Thursday 11th of April, 2024, the State Commandant, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Ogun State Command Headquarters, Abeokuta, Commandant David Idowu Ojelabi, has deployed 2,300 officers and men across its formations in the Gateway State.

While addressing newsmen on the festivities, the State Commandant noted that the Corps will work assiduously with all security agencies in the State to ensure hitch-free Eid-el Fitri celebration across the nooks and crannies of Ogun State.

According to Ojelabi “I have ensured adequate deployment across praying grounds and centres across the State. I have also directed that all critical national assets and infrastructure be duly and appropriately manned during this celebration to avoid compromise” he added.

The State Commandant also noted that operational vehicles alongside all tactical teams in the Corps will be deployed to monitor and oversee praying grounds, market places and other notable black spots by personnel who have been assigned to ensure compliance.

The State Commandant also rejoiced with all Muslim faithfuls across the State and its environs while also admonishing moderation and caution before, during and after the festivities.

He added that the aftermath of the Ramadan season should be seen as a time for more and continuous prayers for the unity and progress of the Nigerian nation.
