Publisher of the popular “Ageing for You and Me” and Old Age advocate, Olamilekan Jaji will be speaking at the maiden edition of Oko Opo Foundation outreach for the widows on Tuesday, 26th of December 2023.
The event which was packaged by the founder of the foundation, a real estate merchant and Chief Executive Officer of Pelican Valley Nigeria Limited, Dr Babatunde Adeyemo aimed at providing succor to the widows and less privileged in the society.
Dr Adeyemo revealed that the Foundation is a dream comes true for him to be of help to the society, especially the down trodden who are truly in need of help. He added that the outreach will be held at his palatial event place, inside the glassy Pelican Valley Laderin in Abeokuta on Boxing Day by 10am.
Mr Jaji will be addressing the widows, majority who are seniors on how to care for themselves, building a healthy relationship that will enhance peace of mind, protecting their mental health and engaging in economic activities that will make them physically and mentally active.
He said the geriatric talk is part of advocacy for healthy old age which should be encouraged in every society.
Mr Jaji commended the founder of the Oko Opo Foundation for his tenacity and desire to be a blessing to man kind through the giant stride of the Foundation to put smile on the face of the senior with food items and financial supports.
He said Dr Adeyemo has made an inch for himself in the real estate sector, and he is setting a record for himself in the humanitarian support through the outreach of the Foundation.
Mr Jaji called on groups, corporate organizations to also look into the welfare of seniors especially those with old age disabilities like dementia for them to spend their later years in comfort and peace.
