The National Executive Committee of the Ijebu Muslim College Old Students Association (IMCOSA Felicitates one of the prominent members of the Alumni Association, Otunba Jimi Adebisi Lawal on the conferment of an important Ijebu Traditional Title on him by His Royal Majesty Alayeluwa Awujale and Paramount Ruler of Ijebuland Oba (Dr) Sikiru Kayode Adetona.
In a congratulatory statement made available on Sunday, the National President of IMCOSA Otunba Olawale Salami notes that the conferment is yet another major recognition and honour well deserved for his tremendous service to Ijebuland and humanity in general.
The statement reads “The National Executive Committee of IMCOSA extends hearty congratulations to our major benefactor Otunba Jimi Adebisi Lawal, on the conferment of the traditional title of Olotu Ifore and Ajiroba Akile Ijebu, by Aleyeluwa Awujale and paramount ruler of Ijebu Land Oba Sikiru Adetona.
This is yet another major recognition and honour well deserved for your tremendous service to Ijebu land and humanity in general. We therfore wish you many more fruitful years of service to Ijebu Land in abundant health and happiness. Congratulations our dear Otunba” the statement concluded.
The New Olotu Ifore and Ajiroba of Ijebuland Jimi Lawal would be installed and decorated with the paraphernalia of office at a colourful ceremony coming up on Saturday, December 16, 2023 at the Palace of Awujale in Ijebu Ode, Ogun State.

Otunba Jimi Lawal has played prominent roles in the social, economic and political development of Ijebuland, Ogun State and Nigeria in general.
Otunba Jimi Lawal took over from the late Professor Adebayo Adedeji who was the late Otunba Olotufore and Asiwaju of Ijebuland.
