Chieftain of the Ruling party and House of Assembly Candidate for Abeokuta South II State Constituency on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Hon. Adeyemi Ademuyiwa, has joined family, friends and well-wishers across Nigeria in celebrating former Ogun State Governor and renowned journalist, Aremo Olusegun Osoba, on the occasion of his 87th birthday.
Adeyemi described Osoba as one of Nigeria’s finest statesmen whose remarkable contributions to journalism, democratic governance and leadership development have left an enduring imprint on the nation’s history.
In a congratulatory message made available to journalists on behalf of himself and his family, the APC chieftain said Osoba’s life has been defined by courage, integrity and selfless service, noting that his influence extends far beyond politics.
He said the former governor’s illustrious career in journalism, where he distinguished himself through professionalism and fearless reporting, as well as his years in public service, have inspired generations of Nigerians to embrace excellence and responsible leadership.
According to Adeyemi, Osoba remains a father figure and mentor to many young politicians, describing him as a bridge between Nigeria’s democratic past and its future.
“His commitment to truth, justice and the development of Ogun State and Nigeria has earned him the respect of people across political, professional and generational divides. His legacy is not only reflected in the offices he occupied but also in the countless lives he has touched through mentorship and exemplary leadership,” he said.
The APC stalwart prayed for God’s continued blessings upon the elder statesman, asking for good health, renewed strength and peace of mind as he continues to offer wise counsel for the progress of Ogun State and the nation.
“As Baba Osoba celebrates another year of God’s faithfulness, I join millions of Nigerians in thanking God for his life and invaluable service to humanity. May the Almighty grant him many more years in sound health, wisdom and happiness, and may his enduring legacy continue to inspire generations yet unborn,” Adeyemi added.
