
The Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE), Abeokuta Branch, has felicitated with Muslim professionals and the entire Muslim Ummah on the occasion of this year’s Eid-Al-Adha celebration, urging Nigerians to imbibe the virtues of sacrifice, obedience, compassion, and selfless service exemplified by Prophet Ibrahim.
In a statement signed by the Chairman of the Branch, Engr. Olumayowa Ayodeji Idowu, FNSE, the Branch congratulated Muslim engineers and professionals across Ogun State and Nigeria for witnessing another Eid-Al-Adha celebration in good health and peace.
Engr. Idowu described Eid-Al-Adha as a season that symbolizes total submission to the will of Almighty Allah, sacrificial living, and commitment to the collective good of society. He noted that the lessons of the celebration remain highly relevant to national development, particularly at a time when Nigeria requires unity, patriotism, and sincere leadership across all sectors.
According to him, engineers and other professionals must continue to play active roles in nation building through ethical leadership, innovation, infrastructure development, and impactful service delivery capable of improving the quality of life of citizens.
The NSE Abeokuta Chairman further encouraged Nigerians to continue praying for peace, economic stability, and sustainable development in the country, while also extending love and support to the less privileged during the festive period.
He reaffirmed the commitment of the Nigerian Society of Engineers, Abeokuta Branch, to advancing engineering excellence, professional development, and societal impact through collaborative engagement and responsible engineering practices.
Engr. Idowu wished all Muslim faithful a peaceful, joyful, and spiritually rewarding Eid-Al-Adha celebration.
