Senator Solomon Adeola, representing Ogun West Senatorial District and Chairman of the Senate Committee on Appropriations, has called on Nigerians, particularly Muslim faithful, to use the occasion of Eid-el-Kabir to pray for enduring peace and the consolidation of the gains recorded under the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration.
Adeola, who is also the All Progressives Congress governorship hopeful for the 2027 Ogun State governorship election, made the call in his Eid-el-Kabir goodwill message issued to commemorate the Islamic festival.
The senator urged Muslims to remain steadfast in the teachings of Islam, especially in the areas of sacrifice, love, brotherliness, piety, and peaceful coexistence, noting that such virtues are essential for national unity and development.
According to him, adherence to these principles would help Nigeria consolidate the gains of the Renewed Hope Agenda, which he said is addressing long-standing socio-economic and structural challenges inherited by the current administration.
“As the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu prepares to mark its third year in office with positive indicators of economic recovery and socio-economic improvements expected to continue impacting the masses, the nation needs security, peace, understanding, and sacrifice to consolidate the observable gains and deepen ongoing reform-driven initiatives of the Renewed Hope Agenda,” he stated.
Senator Adeola also extended his felicitations to Muslims celebrating Eid-el-Kabir across Nigeria and those currently observing the Hajj pilgrimage in the Holy Land.
He reaffirmed his commitment to effective representation of the people of Ogun West through legislative interventions and constituency projects aimed at improving the living conditions of the people.
The lawmaker highlighted several empowerment and infrastructural programmes facilitated under his representation, including educational support initiatives, road projects, provision of boreholes and transformers, as well as other constituency development schemes designed to complement government efforts at various levels.
The statement was signed by High Chief Kayode Odunaro, Media Adviser to Senator Adeola, and dated May 26, 2026.
