
A Canadian based Nigerian and former Abeokuta North state Constituency Aspirant, Hon. Babatunde Rilwan Bayewunmi, has expressed gratitude to Governor Dapo Abiodun following his appointment as Consultant to the Governor, describing the opportunity as a call to greater service and responsibility.
Bayewunmi, popularly known as BRB and recognised as the Youth Ambassador of Ilupeju Oke Odo, said the appointment reflected the governor’s commitment to youth inclusion, leadership development and good governance in Ogun State.
In a statement made available to journalists, the newly appointed consultant appreciated Governor Abiodun for finding him worthy of the position and for sustaining policies that encourage young people to participate actively in governance.
He pledged loyalty, dedication and commitment to the success of the present administration, assuring that he would contribute positively to the continued development of the state.
Bayewunmi also paid glowing tribute to elder statesman and former Ogun State governor, Olusegun Osoba, whom he described as a revered leader whose political wisdom and enduring legacy continue to shape progressive politics within and outside Ogun State.
He further acknowledged the support of Olumide Osoba, member representing Abeokuta North/Odeda/Obafemi Owode federal constituency for his encouragement and belief in his capacity to contribute meaningfully to governance and youth development.
The appointee equally appreciated the Ogun State APC Organising Secretary, Yemi Adelani, for his guidance and support throughout the process leading to the appointment.
Bayewunmi also commended the APC Chairman in abeokuta North Local Government, Alhaja Faidat Akintunde, for what he described as her motherly support and encouragement towards his political growth and development.
He thanked party leaders, supporters and associates who contributed directly and indirectly to his emergence, stressing that the appointment would further motivate him to promote unity, grassroots development and youth empowerment across the state.
According to him, the new role presents another opportunity to serve the people diligently and support initiatives aimed at advancing the socio-economic development of Ogun State.
