The Incumbent Vice President, of the Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees, NULGE, Ogun state Chapter, Comrade Adebayo Adefesobi Popularly known as Oluomo has won and declared as the NULGE President-Elect for Ogun state Chapter of the union during the election held in Abeokuta on Thursday, 27th April ,2023.
In a keenly contested Election, Comrade Adefesobi Adebayo Oluomo scored 101 votes to defeat his close contender Ajayi Amos who polled 96 votes.
The Election was described as free and fair and the result was the true reflection of the wishes of Ogun Local Government workers.
In his Acceptance Speech, Comrade Adefesobi, appreciated God and his supporters for their unflinching support and dedication describing the Victory as a call to service.
As an indication of being magnanimous in victory, Oluomo appealed to his co contestants to join hands with him to take the union to greater heights through his mission to rebuild and rebrand the union.
It will be recalled that the newly elected Ogun NULGE President, Comrade Adefesobi Adebayo, an indigene of Ogun Waterside Local Government, has served in different capacities, he was the former chairman of the Ogun waterside local Government branch of NULGE and later became the state Auditor, then elected as the Ogun State NULGE Treasurer and currently the Vice President of Ogun state Chapter of the Union.
It is believe that with his experience, reputation and the unblemished Track records, his tenure as the helmsman of Ogun NULGE will witness tremendous development and raise the bar high for the prestigious Union.
The newly Elected State officers are , President: Comrade Adebayo Adefesobi “Oluomo” , Deputy President: Com. Engr. Oyekan Solomon Adewale. ,Treasurer: Com. Idowu Olufemi Isreal, Chairperson: Com. Odunayo Oriyomi Oluwatobi, Auditor 1: Com. Pius Abioye Adenike, Auditor 2: Com. Olajide Amos Aremu, Trustee 1: Com. Aliu Wasiu “Asiri”, Trustee 2: Com. Akiode Fatai Feyisayo, Welfare Officer: Com. Olawunmi Oluwole Ibukun, Publicity Secretary: Com. Bajela Olusoji Solomon, Young Worker: Com. Shode Sakiru Olamilekan, Three Female Made it through: Chairperson, Auditor 1 & Welfare Officer.
Their inauguration is said to hold on June 6th 2023 in Abeokuta.
