In a continued show of philanthropy and interfaith solidarity, Hon. Olawale Sowole, popularly known as Wale Yayi, a staunch loyalist of Senator representing Ogun West, Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola, has distributed food items and cash gifts to no fewer than 500 Christians in celebration of Easter, in support of the lawmaker.
The initiative, which took place across selected communities, comes on the heels of a similar outreach recently extended to Muslim faithful during the holy month of Ramadan, underscoring what observers describe as a consistent commitment to inclusiveness and grassroots support.
Beneficiaries, who received essential food supplies alongside financial assistance, expressed appreciation for the timely intervention, noting that the gesture would go a long way in easing the economic burden often associated with festive periods.

Speaking on the development, associates of Yayi said the Easter outreach was designed not only to support Christian faithful but also to reinforce the spirit of unity, compassion and peaceful coexistence among residents, irrespective of religious affiliations.
They added that the intervention aligns with the broader humanitarian and people-centred approach associated with Senator Adeola, who is widely known for his empowerment programmes and community-driven initiatives.
Community leaders and stakeholders who witnessed the distribution commended the organisers, describing the effort as a demonstration of responsive leadership and a reflection of the values of love and sacrifice that Easter represents.
The twin gestures during Ramadan and Easter have further strengthened Yayi’s profile as a bridge-builder, with many calling for sustained efforts in promoting social welfare and religious harmony across the state.
