
The Nigerian Society of Engineers Abeokuta Branch has reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening institutional relationships with the Ogun State Ministry of Housing during a courtesy visit by its Chairman, Engr Olumayowa Ayodeji Idowu, FNSE, to the Honourable Commissioner for Housing, Jamiu Jagunmolu Akande Omoniyi, at the Ministry’s office in Abeokuta.
Speaking during the visit, Engr Idowu commended the Ogun State Government for its sustained efforts in housing delivery and urban development across the state. He emphasized the statutory role of the Nigerian Society of Engineers in promoting Engineering best practices, public safety, and quality assurance, and expressed the readiness of the NSE Abeokuta Branch to provide professional advisory support and technical collaboration to the Ministry.
In his response, the Honourable Commissioner for Housing appreciated the visit and acknowledged the critical role of Engineers in the successful planning, execution, and sustainability of housing projects. He noted that collaboration with professional bodies such as the NSE would further enhance quality delivery, compliance with standards, and long-term value in housing development.
The visit concluded with mutual assurances of cooperation and a shared commitment to advancing sustainable housing, infrastructure development, and professional excellence in Ogun State.
