Nigeria Customs Ogun II Area Command Holds Reputation Management Training For Officers

The Ogun II Area Command of the Nigeria Customs Service, Abeokuta on Wednesday 14th and Thursday 15th January, commenced its 2026 operational activities with a ‘Reputation Management Cascade Training’ Programme for officers and men of the Command.

The programme, organized under the leadership of the Area Controller, Comptroller Olukemi Olusola Akingbade was In line with directives from the Nigeria Customs Service Headquarters and as part of ongoing capacity-building efforts,

The training excercise was designed as an on-the-job training initiative aimed at strengthening discipline, enhancing crisis management capabilities, and further entrenching professionalism in the discharge of official duties.

In her opening remarks, Comptroller Akingbade urged participants to hold the knowledge gained from the training in high esteem, describing it as a guiding framework that would positively influence their conduct and decision-making, both in their current postings and future assignments within the Service.

The According to the Public relations officer of the command, AG Rasheed, a Deputy Supt Customs, the training was facilitated by Assistant Comptroller of Customs, U.C. Ogugu, who served as the lead facilitator, alongside other co-facilitators; AC O Andong, CSC OI Okintola, CSC JO Otuku, CSC GO Olaniyan.

The facil provided detailed insights into the principles and significance of reputation management, emphasizing the necessity of continuous training and retraining to broaden officers’ perspectives and improve service delivery.

On Thursday 15th Jan., ’26, the programme was presided over by Deputy Comptroller of Customs, A.I. Enyam, who commended the initiative and expressed appreciation to the facilitators for their comprehensive presentations. He encouraged participants to effectively apply the lessons learned in the course of their lawful duties, while also underscoring the importance of collaboration and consultation among colleagues, noting that no single individual possesses all knowledge.

The training sessions were conducted in batches at the Command Headquarters, Quarry Road, Ibara, Abeokuta, and were concluded with group photographs to mark the successful completion of the programme.
