…as Comrade Ajiboye Reels Out His Administration Stewardship

In recognition and acknowledgement of effective and meritorious service delivery, the Judiciary Staff Union of Nigeria (JUSUN), Ogun State Branch has organized a befitting Valedictory Program for its members that recently retired from service as civil servants.
The event which also marked the end of the year celebration for the Judiciary workers, took place on Friday, December 19, 2025, at the Judiciary Complex, Olipakala Village, Kobape Road, Abeokuta.
The Honourable Chief Judge of Ogun State, Hon. Justice Mosunmola Arinola Dipeolu, in her speech Lauded the Judiciary Staff Union of Nigeria (JUSUN), Ogun State Branch for honour the retired judiciary staff in a grand style as she described the new senior citizens as the pillars of court system while in service.

Justice Dipeolu described the even as a testament to the union’s motto, “Together We Can” and there urged retiring staff to raise their shoulders high for a service well-rendered saying that it is a new beginning for them and a time to enjoy the fruits of their labour, dedicate more time to their families, passions, and personal pursuits.
She therefore commended the State Chairman of JUSUN, Comrade (Lion) Ajiboye Olanrewaju Tunji, and members of the State Administrative Council for their dedication to the judiciary.
“As you transition from the structured corridors of the court to the new horizons of retirement, I urge you to carry with you the pride of a service well-rendered. This is not an end, but a new beginning—a time to enjoy the fruits of your labour, to dedicate more time to your families, your passions, and your personal pursuits. Take with you the lessons of discipline, integrity, and service that have defined your careers. Continue to be worthy ambassadors of the Ogun State Judiciary.
“To the JUSUN family and the entire staff body still in service, I charge you to uphold the legacy of excellence and commitment that these retirees are bequeathing to you. Let their dedication be a standard for you to emulate. The work continues, and the task of building a stronger, more efficient judiciary rests on your shoulders.”
In his welcome address, Comrade (Lion) Ajiboye Olanrewaju Tunji, Chairman of JUSUN Ogun State Branch, expressed gratitude to the Honourable Chief Judge of Ogun State, Hon. Justice Mosunmola Arinola Dipeolu, FICMC, FHNR, for his unwavering support to the union and commitment to staff welfare.
The Union leader highlighted various welfare initiatives approved and implemented under the Chief Judge’s leadership to include, Payment of posting/inconvenience allowances for staff deployed to new duty stations.
- Payment of transfer allowances.
- Upward review of drivers’ stipends from ₦15,000.00 to ₦25,000.00
- Regular financial assistance to ailing staff and families of deceased staff.
On career Development and Human Capacity Building - Sponsorship and payment of subventions for the school fees of selected staff enrolled at the Ogun State Judiciary Staff Development Centre.
- Sponsorship and support for training, workshops, and seminars within and outside the state
- Continuous professional development programmes for administrative, technical, and judicial personnel.
- Recognition and career advancement opportunities for staff who obtain additional academic or professional qualifications.
- Prompt promotion, conversion, and upgrading of eligible staff members.
On Health and Well-Being Support - Upgrading of the Judiciary Clinic and provision of essential drugs and medical supplies.
- Free medical services and essential drugs provided for all staff.
- Workplace health and safety improvements, including improved working environments and facilities.
On improved Work Conditions and Infrastructure - Provision of solar inverter systems in court registries and other essential units to ensure uninterrupted workflow.
- Establishment of a well-organized staff transportation system among others. He also appreciated the support of the Honourable President of the Ogun State Customary Court of Appeal, Hon. Justice Adebisi Olusola Femi-Segun, and other judicial officials.
He also enumerated his administration achievements as
” Establishment of a Reconciliatory Committee to strengthen unity among members.

- Disbursement of revolving loans to junior staff
- Annual Year-End Celebrations and Valedictory Programme for retirees
- Actualisation of posting allowance payments
- Training and capacity-building programmes for members
- Provision of social services and emergency financial assistance
- Prompt promotion and conversion of eligible staff
- Career development support services
- Timely and effective communication with members
- Enhanced engagement with the Ogun State Government and Judiciary Management on welfare matters
- Upgrading of the CONJUSS salary table from Grade Levels 14 to 17″ Ajiboye concluded.
On his part, the Chief Registrar of the High Court, Mr. O. L. Oke, called on judiciary staff to maintain discipline, punctuality, and efficiency in their duties, emphasizing that these values are crucial to the success and credibility of the judiciary.
Oke praised retiring staff for their dedication and contributions to the Ogun State Judiciary, saying they had built a legacy of service and resilience.
He urged serving staff to uphold the principles of discipline, punctuality, and efficiency, noting that these were essential for a trusted and responsive judiciary. “A disciplined staff is the backbone of a trusted judiciary,” he said.
Oke also congratulated the retirees, wishing them robust health, joy, and fulfilment in their retirement, and thanked JUSUN for organizing the event to honour their service.
The event was attended by distinguished retirees, judiciary staff, and guests, marking a significant milestone in the careers of those retiring from active service.
Awards and gifts were thereafter presented to some distinguished personalities for their contributions to the development of the union and the Judiciary at large.
